eAxle Testing & Development

An eAxle combines all the key elements of an eDrive system (eMotor, inverter and transmission) into one, highly integrated unit for maximum energy efficiency and vehicle installation benefits. The testing and optimisation of modern eAxle assemblies requires a highly sophisticated approach.

Our eAxle test bench consists of two, oppositely mounted load machines (permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors), separate battery simulators for both high and low voltage applications and a high speed power analyser system. A high performance thermal conditioning system is also incorporated for the accurate simulation of in-vehicle conditions across a wide temperature range.
