TISAX certification

MAHLE Powertrain is fully certified to the latest TISAX standard for the global automotive industry.

TISAX stands for ‘Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange’ and this standard ensures the physical and technical protection of all sensitive and confidential hardware, infrastructure and information within the automotive supply chain.

TISAX is intended to ensure asset security – not only vehicles, buildings and machines but also data and product knowledge. This includes secured access to sensitive development facilities, prohibition of photography, theft prevention, data protection, controlled management of prototypes, etc.

TISAX certification requires total commitment and ownership from all employees within the business and MAHLE has introduced its Information Security Management System (ISMS) across all sites to develop and implement appropriate measures to protect all sensitive information.

To achieve the TISAX label, a comprehensive assessment audit is conducted to demonstrate compliance with the VDA Information Security Assessment (ISA) requirements. Following a successful audit by a recognised, independent body, the organisation receives a valid TISAX label for 3 years.

TISAX labels and audit results can only be viewed within the European Network Exchange (ENX) platform. Home · ENX Portal

All major European automotive OEMs now have access to the ENX platform and US-based OEMs are also in the process of adopting this system.

All major OEMs now require their suppliers to hold a valid TISAX label as a pre-condition for awarding new business – this applies equally to both parts suppliers AND service providers.
