MAHLE acquires share of diagnostics specialist Brain Bee

Stuttgart, September 11, 2017 – The MAHLE Group has agreed on a strategic minority participation in Brain Bee, a manufacturer of automotive workshop equipment. MAHLE acquires a 20-percent participation in Brain Bee. MAHLE is thereby expanding its expertise in vehicle diagnostics, emission management, air conditioning service, and fluid management. MAHLE Aftermarket is thus driving forward its development as a solutions provider and strengthening its presence in the field of workshop equipment and services, particularly in the European market.


Urban mobility—efficient, comfortable, agile, and affordable: the MAHLE 48-volt vehicle concept MEET

Stuttgart, September 8, 2017 – In a world debut, MAHLE presents the vehicle concept “MEET” (MAHLE Efficient Electric Transport) to the public at IAA Cars in Frankfurt/Germany. Optimization of the combustion engine reduces CO2 emissions by up to six percent

Stuttgart, August 28, 2017 – MAHLE proves its holistic systems competence by further tapping the potential of the internal combustion engine. Two approaches for the basic engine are optimizing friction and preventing oil from entering the combustion chamber. CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to six percent (WLTC) with MAHLE technologies for optimized mechanics and lubrication in gasoline engines. These measures also demonstrate a sustainable impact on emissions and consumption in actual driving operation. MAHLE will showcase specific solutions for the optimization of the combustion engine at IAA Cars 2017 from September 14 to 24, 2017 in Frankfurt/Germany.


Balancing heat and cold for improved cruising range, performance, and comfort in electric vehicles

Stuttgart, August 23, 2017 – E-mobility will be a key component of CO2-neutral individual transportation over the long term. MAHLE aims to be one of the innovation drivers in this field too. The refined management of the occurring heat flows is the foundation for the performance, cruising range, and service life of electric vehicles. MAHLE expands vehicle electronics development center

Stuttgart, May 24, 2017 – MAHLE’s takeover of electronics specialist Nagares SA, announced in March 2017, is now complete. Following approval by the antitrust authorities, the Spanish company will now be integrated into the group.

MAHLE positions itself for the future

MAHLE takes over Duisburg-based start-up company O-Flexx

Stuttgart/Germany, February 13, 2017 – The MAHLE Group is expanding its expertise in the field of thermoelectrics by taking over the start-up company O-Flexx Technologies GmbH based in Duisburg/Germany. It has been agreed that the purchase price will not be disclosed.


Bosch and MAHLE plan sale of joint turbocharger business BMTS

Stuttgart/Germany, January 23, 2017 – The Bosch Group and the MAHLE Group have decided to seek a buyer for their joint venture, Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems (BMTS). The joint subsidiary was founded in 2008. With a total of around 1,400 employees, it develops and produces turbochargers for manufacturers of passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Production is largely based in St. Michael/Austria and in Shanghai/China. In Germany, BMTS also has a presence at two further locations in Stuttgart and Blaichach. Thanks to the technology used in their production and their high quality, BMTS products have an excellent reputation in the automotive industry. They have received numerous industry awards.


MAHLE completes sale of industrial filtration activities to Filtration Group

Stuttgart/Germany, November 1, 2016 – The MAHLE Group completes the sale of its industrial filtration activities to U.S.-based Filtration Group. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price for the transaction, which was previously approved by the antitrust authorities.

MAHLE surpasses own targets in first half of 2015

Stuttgart/Germany, September 7, 2015 — In the first half of 2015, the MAHLE Group achieved sales of EUR 5.53 billion and has thereby grown by 12.5 percent compared with the same period in the previous year. At EUR 324.5 million, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) are also 17.2 percent above the previous year’s value. The EBIT margin rose to 5.9 percent.


PEMS testing service now available

MAHLE Powertrain has recently expanded its extensive vehicle emissions testing capability at its Northampton, UK headquarters to include Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS) testing. This new service further enhances the vehicle testing services which are available and allows the precise measurement of tailpipe emissions whilst the vehicle is being driven on normal roads.


Delphi Thermal is now part of the MAHLE Group

Stuttgart/Germany, July 1, 2015 – The antitrust authorities have given their approval: MAHLE has acquired the thermal business of U.K. automotive supplier Delphi Automotive PLC as of July 1, 2015. As a result, the Stuttgart-based group is expanding its strategically important Thermal Management business unit.

MAHLE has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the wholly-owned thermal business of U.S. automotive supplier Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE: DLPH). In 2014, the division and its approximately 7,600 employees achieved annual sales of around USD 1.2 billion (roughly EUR 1.0 billion). After approval by the relevant antitrust authorities, a closing of the deal is anticipated for the fall of 2015. Further, it is intended to acquire the joint venture of Delphi Thermal in China.
