MAHLE Powertrain awarded “Test Facility of the Year"

ATTI (Automotive Testing Technology International) presented MAHLE Powertrain’s Real Driving Emissions Centre in UK with the “Test Facility of the Year” Award.

MAHLE Powertrain has built the UK's first dedicated Real Driving Emissions Centre (RDEC). It focuses on the complete development of new powertrain solutions from concept right through to reality.

The "Test Facility of the Year" Award is presented each year by Automotive Testing Technology International magazine. It is acknowledged as one of the top magazines in this sector. All award nominations are made by readers and the winners are selected by the editorial team.

MAHLE Powertrain enables its customers to take control and bring on-road vehicle development testing back into controlled laboratory conditions where engineers can make valued decisions in their development processes.

MAHLE Powertrain’s RDEC is the UK’s only barometric vehicle test chamber which can apply altitudes of up to 5,000 meters, temperatures between -40°C and +60°C and road gradients to the entire vehicle. This allows a detailed insight into the powertrain’s capabilities in diverse environments, enabling robust assessment of the performance of the whole vehicle against real world operating conditions.

The RDEC combined with full engineering service capabilities propels MAHLE Powertrain to the forefront of powertrain development worldwide.
