Positive response at LCV event

The Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle event took place at Millbrook, UK last week attracting a record number of visitors. MAHLE Powertrain was one of the most popular exhibitors over the two days, showing the Downsizing demonstrator vehicle as well as the new MAHLE Compact Range Extender engine.

The display engine attracted continuous attention throughout the event and impressed all visitors with its compact size combined with 30 kW power output. A new video was also shown to illustrate key steps of the Range Extender project from it’s initial design concept through to the recent completion of the first demonstrator vehicle.

Once again, in the outdoor exhibition, our updated Downsizing demonstrator vehicle proved to be a popular choice for show visitors (as well as fellow exhibitors) to drive around Millbrook’s challenging test tracks. The surprisingly impressive performance, combined with proven fuel economy, was a universal reaction from all those who drove the car.

With both its Range Extender and Downsizing engine projects, MAHLE Powertrain has demonstrated a clear understanding of relevant and appropriate technologies and solutions for today’s market trends and consumer demands.
